QA/Support Engineer

Role

This person will have a dual role within WBT Systems, and using their experience and background to provide a professional and effective support service to our customer. In addition this role play a successful product release of our enterprise learning management solutions by taking an active part in the QA process for both the standard product and specific customer solutions. This includes monitoring and managing the support system and executing testing and maintaining a Quality standard for the product suite. The successful candidate will become a product expert. This role will also focus on this knowledge transfer to other staff, and to customers to ensure that they acquire the knowledge and skills needed to develop and maintain their system.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic, self-starting individual who also enjoys a client facing role, and technical tasks associated with this challenging job. The role will typically require 2 or more years of successful QA/support experience.

Responsibilities

  • Developing out of the box and customization test plans and test cases for the company software suite.
  • Actively carry out testing, monitor progress, and report results to management.
  • Develop & maintain quality processes and procedures that are the best fit for the product and team.
  • Assist in the testing of customer specific development work when required.
  • Contribute to the Product documentation forum, review drafts of same, and signoff.
  • As part of the role of product expert, to give Training to staff and customers.
  • Manage the current support system
  • Provide professional, expert and timely responses to support queries

Skills

  • Experience of RDBMS products (ORACLE & SQL Server).
  • Working knowledge of web technologies including HTML, JavaScript, ASP and JAVA.
  • Outstanding communication, teamwork and customer management skills.
  • Experience with automation of test cases is an advantage
  • Thorough knowledge of testing procedures and tools.
  • Excellent communication skills
