The Background

As an Application Service Provider (ASP), Innovatia needed an elearning solution that could be configured easily to service multiple customer audiences. They also needed a solution that was configurable to provide a different look and feel for each customer, thereby allowing learners from each company to view their e-learning materials in a style that fits exactly with their corporate intranet and internal design standards. As well as the ASP requirements, Innovatia also wanted an elearning solution that offered superior stability and scalability. They wanted to work with a vendor that had been in the market for a long time and had proven credentials that they could trust.

The Solution

Innovatia selected TopClass from WBT Systems following an evaluation process that looked at the products from 12 other e-Learning vendors. Innovatia was particularly impressed with the partitioning capability offered by TopClass LCMS which allows them to provide for multiple customers on one server. The partitioning capabilities of TopClass enabled Innovatia to provide different environments for each customer, allowing learners to view content in their corporate style.

The Results

  • Today Innovatia uses the TopClass e-Learning Suite to develop and manage content and to deliver and manage its entire enterprise-wide blended learning programme.
  • To date TopClass has been used to deliver operations training to over 3500 learners, and includes 80 training titles representing over 1000 hours of web courseware.
  • Innovatia has successfully transitioned traditional classroom-based training to the web, while maintaining acceptable customer quality metrics.
  • Nortel Networks has outsourced all training for their flagship carrier voice switching product, DMS, to Innovatia; TopClass is being used to deliver this blended learning solution.
