September 2006Welcome to the September 2006 edition of WBT NEWS, WBT Systems' online newsletter.It's been an exciting few months at WBT with new customers coming on board, the release of TopClass 7.4, a line-up of events and a new addition to the WBT team. However, the biggest news is probably the change of ownership of WBT. In August, Horizon Technology Group officially acquired WBT. Horizon is a leading technical integrator and distributor of information technology products in the UK and Ireland and is listed on the Dublin and London stock exchanges.
March 2006Welcome to the March 2006 edition of WBT NEWS, WBT Systems' online newsletter.WBT Systems kicked off the year with a bang by winning the e-Learning Company of the Year award at the Digital Media Awards held in Dublin in February. This coincided with the announcement of a number of new deals and extensions to existing contracts including Bintang Toedjoe (Indonesia), IDT (US), University of Melbourne (Australia), Anglo American (South Africa), Semler (Denmark) and Clinphone (UK).

From its beginnings as a research initiative funded by the European Union in 1995, WBT Systems now provides an integrated offering combining leading-edge technology, consulting services and tailored vertical solutions. We have offices in Amsterdam, Boston, Dublin, London, Munich, New York, San Francisco and Toronto and over two million users in 700 organisations.
December 2004Welcome to the December 2004 edition of WBT NEWS, WBT Systems' online newsletter.2004 was a landmark year for WBT Systems. We substantially exceeded our targets and continued our expansion with new offices in Canada, San Francisco and the Netherlands. We secured major deals with world leading companies including Husqvarna, Ryanair, FirstPlus, Alexander Forbes and BI, and welcomed additional staff to our offices in Europe and North America.

April 2004Welcome to the April 2004 edition of WBT NEWS, WBT Systems' online newsletter.We have just completed a period of intense activity at WBT Systems which has culminated in WBT’s move into the Leader Quadrant in both Gartner's e-Learning Suite and LMS Magic Quadrant reports. We are very proud of this achievement which we believe is a testament to the superior functional capabilities of the TopClass product, our satisfied customer base and our ambitious plans for growth in Europe, North America and South Africa.
January 2004Welcome to the January 2004 edition of WBT NEWS, WBT Systems' online newsletter.2003 was a landmark year for WBT Systems; we achieved and exceeded our sales targets and continued our expansion with the opening of new offices in the UK and Germany. As other e-Learning vendors retrenched and merged, WBT Systems reinforced its leadership position in the LCMS and LMS arena, and as the specialist solution provider for the financial services sector. In 2003 we secured major contracts with new customers in the US and Europe; we relaunched and expanded our partner programme and, on the development side, TopClass LMS was certified by AICC, and TopClass was awarded SCORM 1.2 certification - the highest level of conformance with the SCORM learning standard. We also welcomed new staff members to our German, US, UK and Irish offices.
September 2003Welcome to the Autumn edition of WBT NEWS, WBT Systems' online newsletter.This has been a very busy time for WBT Systems. In August we announced the release of TopClass 6.2 and its certification by AICC. This latest release increases enterprise performance by a factor of four to cater for the most demanding customer throughput requirements. This quarter also sees two very significant analyst reports including reviews of TopClass from SRI Consulting Business Intelligence and the Butler Group. Our online survey of attitudes to e-Learning in the financial services sector is the largest study of its kind ever undertaken.
July 2003This edition focuses on our most recent very successful quarter. Sales were ahead of target and we completed a number of great deals including a global license for Smith & Nephew's Wound Management Division.This edition also focuses on the recent WBT Systems Customer Council event which was held in Dublin in early June and was attended by a wide range of customers and partners from Europe and the US. The event featured a number of great customer presentations from Smith & Nephew, Diageo, Volvo CE and Basler Insurance. In addition TopClass 6.2, 7.0 and TopClass Compliance were all announced at the event.
April 2003Amongst other topics, this edition focuses on Compliance, specifically in the Financial Services and Healthcare industries. WBT Systems has worked with companies in highly regulated industries for many years, enabling companies to develop learning solutions that deliver rapid knowledge and return on investment. We also know how to detect areas of non-compliance and proactively address them before they become a problem. Our solution gives executives and boards of directors the ability to quantify return on investment and establish metrics by which to measure operational effectiveness as it relates to compliance management.
