Support Overview

WBT Systems is committed to providing excellent service to ensure customer success in using and implementing our solutions. Support can be included as part of the TopClass license agreement and offers assistance to your technical staff in supporting and maintaining your existing TopClass implementation. Our annual support fee includes product troubleshooting and timely access to any patches, as well as access to upgrade releases, product documentation, and online support resources.

Sections of the support area are for the use of WBT System's customers and partners only. If you do not have a username and password, or have forgotten your password, then please contact your WBT System's Partner or Account Representative.

Our FAQ section contains all the update to date support information in the form of question and answers. The FAQ has a powerful search engine, which allows you to use keywords to search for a solution to your issue. Please search the FAQ database in advance of submitting a bug.

Bug/Enhancement Request Submission

Before submitting a bug, please search the FAQ for information on existing known issues and fixes. Complete a bug submission form, or alternatively send the following information to support@wbtsystems.com

  1. Your name and email address
  2. Product name and version
  3. Database type and version
  4. Brief summary of problem
  5. Detail of problem (steps to reproduce, with screenshots)
  6. Severity of problem, one of - blocker, critical, major, normal, minor, trivial
  7. Can you reproduce the bug, one of yes - always, yes-sometimes, no.
  8. Copy of the TopClass/CNR/TCC About Pages
  9. Log file: TopClass, competencies, C&R, IIS message logs
  10. Properties file: Competencies/CNR properties files
  11. Upgrading: If upgrading, please attach all upgrade logs
  12. Is TopClass and the Database on the same machine?
  13. If the problem is within a certain module in TopClass (NETg, Reports, AICC etc.) turn on the relevant trace levels in TopClass, reproduce the error and send the log files.

Enhancement Request

Our Research and Development Teams are constantly working to improve the TopClass e-Learning Suite. As part of this process, we rely on our customers and partners to give us constructive feedback and suggestions for improvements to TopClass. Fill out an enhancement request form.

Supported Platform and System Requirements

TopClass has been designed to store data in either an Oracle or SQL Server database. This provides the advantages of a relational database for acquiring, querying, and exchanging information. For best performance, WBT recommends, but does not require, that TopClass and the Oracle or SQL Server database are installed on separate machines. It is also possible to establish additional servers to manage third-party applications such as NetG or Centra if appropriate.
