WBT News - June 2009

Welcome to WBT News, the first version of our "new look" newsletter.

In this issue, we take a look at e-Learning at Nissan Australia. They've rolled out a successful blended learning program to 200+ dealers and have standardized training across sales, service and technical business areas. CLO covered their story below.

We also look at New York's Office of Real Property Services. They moved half their courses for property assessors online and as a result have reduced the need for travel and accommodation. This has resulted in significant savings.

And finally, some product news!  We recently released TopClass 8. It's got enhanced eCommerce and Classroom Management functionality, and is also a lot more user-friendly. Maybe it's time for an upgrade...?

We hope you enjoy our newsletter!

E-Learning for Nissan's 200 Dealers

When Nissan Australia decided to introduce e-Learning to support classroom training for their dealers, they not only wanted to have the ability to deliver a greater variety and volume of training, but they also also wanted to maintain a complete record of all dealer training history. This would help reduce the admin burden when employees left one dealer and rejoined one of the other Nissan dealers at a different location.

Savings for New York Office of Real Property Services

Property Assessor Training in the State of New York is provided by the New York Office of Real Property Services (ORPS). They are also responsible for covering the cost of tuition expenses. With 1,200 assessors training at any one time, OPRS decided to move half their training modules online. Today if assessors choose to take advantage of the online option, New York ORPS has the potential to save $1,200 per assessor. It is also expected that their LMS will pay for itself within 3 years. Not a bad result!
