Waltham, MA - January 30th, 2003 - WBT Systems, a leading provider of enterprise e-learning solutions and QuickCompliance, a leading provider of e-learning content to help organizations comply with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), today announced the successful deployment of their combined offering at several large Blue Cross/Blue Shields institutions and other health plans and hospitals.

The customer installations, delivered through the QuickCompliance strategic alliance with WBT Systems, include companies ranging in size from 2,000 to 20,000 employees.

The HIPAA legislation mandates that any employee who comes into contact with protected health information must receive job specific training on an organization’s policies and procedures in regard to the HIPAA privacy and security regulations. The HIPAA Training Solution enables organizations to quickly and efficiently train their employees to meet the requirements of HIPAA.

QuickCompliance offers courses specific to health insurance companies, hospitals and care delivery facilities, and self-insured employers. The solution includes a full suite of modular courses that allow each employee to receive a customized course that addresses compliance issues related to their specific duties and activities.

The combined offering is a hosted ASP solution using WBT Systems’ TopClass e-Learning Suite to provide a rapidly deployable solution for organizations facing the HIPAA Privacy deadline of April 14, 2003. TopClass provides the infrastructure to monitor and track performance and document comprehension and completion of the training.
