WBT Systems Announces Major European Expansion

German & UK Offices Opened & New Senior Management Team Members Appointed

Dublin, Ireland - April 23rd, 2003 - WBT Systems, a global leader in Enterprise e-Learning Solutions, today announces the opening of their new UK and German Offices and several senior management appointments. The London office, located in New Bond Street will be managed by Tim Davies and will focus on business development and services activities supporting WBT's growing UK customer and partner base. This team is planned to grow to five staff by the end of the year. A similar team will focus on the German marketplace based out of Düsseldorf. This facility is headed up by Martin Saenger, Sales Manager for Central Europe. WBT Systems is also pleased to announce the appointment of Tim Madeley as Vice President of Research and Development.

Tim Madeley joins WBT Systems as VP of Research and Development from Cognotec, where he recently spent seven years as Head of Development. Through this and previous roles, Tim has acquired a strong mix of skills and experience from people management and strategic product development to the implementation of robust product development lifecycle processes.

Martin Saenger, Sales Manager for Central Europe, has over 14 years business development and sales experience running Intellinex Germany GmbH, an e-Learning Venture from Ernst & Young LLP. Prior to Intellinex, he was managing director of M2S Multimedia Software GmbH and managed Oracle's education business in Germany for 10 years. Martin has excellent experience implementing blended learning solutions on departmental and enterprise level including live training, LMS, CBT/ WBT’s and customisation.

Tim Davies, WBT Systems' UK Sales Manager, has been actively working in the e-Learning and knowledge management software market for the past six years with IBM, selling both departmental and enterprise wide solutions to the Financial Services, Pharmaceutical and Manufacturing market sectors.
