WBT Systems Announces Solution to Lower Costs And Reduce Compliance Risks for Regulated Industries

TopClass Compliance - A robust, defensible, audit-ready compliance training system

Dublin, Ireland - July 16th, 2003 - WBT Systems, a leader in Enterprise e-Learning Solutions, today announced the launch of a suite of products and services designed to lower costs, reduce risk and ensure compliance within regulated industries such as Financial Services, Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals. The flagship product in this new solution is TopClass Compliance, which is built on the award winning TopClass e-Learning Suite.

A key component of the TopClass Compliance Solution is the TopClass Compliance Training Lifecycle Model, a framework for the implementation of a training management system for regulated industries. Based on this, the company now offers CIARA - the Compliance Infrastructure Audit Readiness Assessment, a 2-day rapid intervention designed to identify any gaps in current systems and processes so that any remedies are targeted where they are needed most.

TopClass Compliance Features

As part of its comprehensive compliance lifecycle management support, TopClass Compliance will incorporate the following additional functionality:
  • Regulatory Body Management – Define one or more regulatory compliance authorities relevant to the organisation. In addition to defining information on the regulatory authority such as identifying your organisation’s in-house expert, link each authority to competencies, skills and certification requirements.
  • Automatic Training History Audit Trail – Automatically records all key learner events to a secure audit trail. Define event types to be recorded including course enrollments and completions (classroom, online and blended), test results, updates to competencies, skills, certifications and more. Browsable by learners, managers, compliance officers and administrators. TopClass Compliance also allows legacy training records to be imported and all data is independent of class enrollments.
  • Certification Rules Engine – Define comprehensive rules to trigger updates to training history, learner skills profile and course progress indicator. Completion may be determined, for example, by pass or fail of a test and/or percentage of course read and/or specific pages read.
  • Notification & Reminders - TopClass Compliance includes a rules-driven notification engine which enables competencies to be assigned to students with target completion dates. Automatic notifications of pending expiry dates are sent to learners with escalation to Managers / Compliance Officer if the learner fails to re-certify.
  • Compliance Reporting - TopClass Compliance incorporates industry specific reports critical to training management in regulated industries. Compliance Officer reports include compliance by employee, competency, job role and regulatory body. Manager reports include compliance by department, upcoming compliance by department, employee skills profile and employee training history.
