WBT finalist for Best Corporate Learning Technology Solution
Dublin, Ireland - January 20th, 2005 - WBT Systems today announced that its TopClass e-Learning Suite has been selected as a finalist for the 20th Annual Codie Awards by the US Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA). WBT Systems was selected as one of six finalists in the category Best Corporate Learning Technology Solution. The category includes submissions for Avacaster 4.1 (Avacast Corporation), The Executive Challenge (Enspire Learning), Epiplex eLearning Solution (Epiance), The Coach's Role (Harvard Business School Publishing) and eQuality Producer (Witness Systems). The award honours the best technology platform, service or provider that supports the continuing education of corporate employees via electronic means. During the nomination period, over 1,000 nominations from more than 800 companies were submitted in 63 categories. The programme is the only peer recognition programme in the software and information industry and it provides a unique opportunity for companies to compete for the praise of their competitors. “The 20th annual Codie Awards continue the tradition of honoring the best of the software, content and education technology industries,” said Ken Wasch, SIIA President. “When one considers the number of outstanding companies that competed this year, being named a Codie Awards finalist is a significant achievement”. "This is a fantastic endorsement of WBT Systems and TopClass and our continued investment to ensure the product suite remains at the forefront of best practice in Learning Management solutions. TopClass continues to be a market leading product because of its superior compliance functionality, open standards architecture, robustness and scalability" commented Declan Kelly, CEO WBT Systems.
