TopClass Chosen as Platform to Train Employees and Customers

Dublin - January 23rd, 2006 - WBT Systems, a leading provider in enterprise e-learning solutions, has been selected by Bayer Diagnostics to provide the platform to meet its learning and training requirements. Bayer Diagnostics, a division of Bayer HealthCare, employs approximately 7,000 employees worldwide and provides and services a full range of in vitro diagnostic equipment including high volume test systems for large hospital and laboratories.

The Diagnostics Division will use WBT’s award-winning TopClass e-Learning Suite^TM in two ways; firstly, to support new product launches by delivering end customers training on diagnostic devices and secondly, to manage and track training for employees in its sales and services groups.

Diagnostic equipment is highly complex and requires a high level of training and ongoing customer support. By training healthcare staff to use the equipment more effectively, Bayer expects lower after sale support and services costs, and higher levels of customer satisfaction. The WBT solution also offers increased cross-selling opportunities since it can track customer training behavior paths and course enrollments.

The scope of employee training at Bayer Diagnostics is wide and includes programs on personal development, internal operations and technical content. Much of the product-specific learning falls within the scope of FDA regulation requiring TopClass to manage and track on-going compliance training.
