Dublin - February 16th, 2006 - WBT Systems, a leading provider of enterprise e-learning solutions, announced the continued expansion of Profexcel, the web-based developer of professional education and skills training for the primary school teaching sector. Profexcel gives teachers direct access to experts and online education in areas such as Dyslexia, Autism and ADHD and has been using the award-winning TopClass e-Learning Suite since 2001. Since then it has doubled its student numbers each year and today has thousands of users all over the world. The TopClass solution has proven highly successful with learners, 95% of whom consistently rate the system as easy to use.

One of the obvious benefits of the Profexcel offering is that it reduced the amount of time that teachers spent out of the classroom training. By switching to e-learning and providing coursework online through the TopClass customised environment, Profexcel was able to provide self-paced learning to teachers on an anytime, anywhere, anyplace basis. Student progress is tracked and the online assignments and assessment results are also logged. Mandatory course assignments are based on core content and must be submitted in order to successfully complete the course. Another key benefit of the TopClass solution is that it can manage and deliver courses to a non-technical audience monitered by a non-technical group of tutors.
