New Version to provide Electronic Signature Support for 21 CFR Part 11

Dublin - April 20th, 2006 - WBT Systems, a leading provider of enterprise e-learning solutions, has announced the upcoming release of Version 7.4 of its award-winning TopClass e-learning Suite™. The release, due in May, will deliver important enhancements to the TopClass auditing and training history modules particularly for organizations in regulated industries that need to meet the US Federal Drug Administration’s (FDA) expectations around the security of electronic records and signatures.

Other features of Version 7.4 are:

• New Report Scheduling module (e.g. for sending weekly reports)
• ILT multiple location wait-listing (support for virtual multi locations)
• Advanced search enhancement
• Advanced features ability to clone classes and content
• Oracle 10G support

From TopClass 7.4, TopClass supports the logging and auditing of electronic/digital signatures for particular learning events which, in turn, supports aspects of regulated systems requirements, such as 21 CFR 11. This will enable customers to associate digital signatures to many different events within TopClass such as attending an ILT class or completing an online assessment. Detailed logic to allow dual signing of certain events and the ability to sign the revoking of incorrectly attained events is also provided to ease administration workloads.

An additional module in TopClass 7.4 will also introduce the ability to schedule learning effectiveness and usage reports to run at specified times (e.g. weekly, monthly) and automatically distribute these reports to groups of interested users.
