Survey Ranks TopClass Leader in Study of Twelve LMSs

Dublin - August 24th, 2005 - WBT Systems, a global leader in enterprise e-learning solutions, has been ranked number one in a major research report on usability of Learning Management Systems.

The in-depth survey, which was undertaken by Jos Admiraal and Job Plas from the Hanze University in the Netherlands, evaluated usability in Learning Management Systems over a five month period. As part of the research, the researchers developed a list of requirements to assess usability and used this to create their own measurement instrument.

The list is based on fifty questions for different user groups, from Users and Content Managers to Managers and Technical Implementation Staff. The LMSs were scored on a range of criteria including menu structure, help and search facilities, look and feel and consistency of use.

Twelve LMSs were evaluated and given an average score. Overall, the TopClass Learning Management System^TM(LMS) scored highest. In their assessment of TopClass, the researchers concluded "the system is very adaptable, intuitive to use and the content is very easy to upload with the content editor".
