The national professional society and certifying body for medical laboratory professionals has selected TopClass Learning Management System to power its online education program. This move to TopClass will enable them to provide a better service for continuing education with an improved member experience.
The initial part of the learning improvement program involved the implementation of new member database, iMIS, and it was important that the chosen LMS could integrate easily. This would allow the exchange of key training and member information from one system to the other. Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science was also looking for a system that was simple to use and intuitive so that their members could get up to speed on it quickly, improving their learning experience.
According to the Learning Services Team Leader, Michele Perry,
“The TopClass screens look great, with clear modern layouts and action buttons, so it’s very intuitive and easy to use. Our learners shouldn’t have any difficulty moving around the learning system, searching, registering and completing their training courses.”
Using the TopClass catalog, Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) will be able to offer and sell courses and run promotions with coupons and tokens. They will also be able to offer their members the ability to record and track all training taken, including 3rd party training, from within TopClass. This is important as the medical industry is highly regulated.
